A DRIVER was arrested on drug driving offences in St Helens last week.

Merseyside Roads Policing Unit reported stopping a motor vehicle in Haresfinch at around midday on Thursday, August 4.

Assisting their local police colleagues, the Roads Policing Unit carried out a roadside test of the driver which tested positive for cocaine.

The driver was also said to have performed poorly on a field impairment test and was "clearly not fit to drive".

The individual was arrested and faces a disqualification from driving.
