Get in there ya canny bunch of lads ya. The Challenge Cup is retained for another year. My weekend started in fantastic style by me getting a call from Saints, to tell me I was in the top 3 people nominated for Saints' fan of the year, and I was invited to the players end of the season awards in two weeks time.

Unreal !!!! and anyone who voted for me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait, it's like a kid two weeks before Xmas. Nice black tie do, at Haydock park. Best thing that's ever happened to me involving sport ever!!!

I travelled down on the Friday, first a flight to Stanstead, then a train to London, then a tube to the hotel. After the usual delays it took me from leaving my house at 1.30 until 7.40 to get to my digs at Kings Cross.

The rest of the night was class, meeting up with all me muckers from St Helens, and having a jolly old good knees up. Then a long walk back to the hotel after getting lost about 6 times. We got back in worse for the wear at about 3.40 am. Next day up and about at 10 and a bit of brekkie, then the bookies, and a tube to Wembley. What a blooming hot day that was.

We met the lads at Wembley in some canny pub, which had a great big beer garden. Then got to the ground. What an awesome sight it was as well, both inside and outside the ground. I sat there baking away in the sun, and watched the lads win the cup again.

The French fans were class, the Warrington fans were bitter, the Leeds fans were jealous and the Wigan fans either dressed up as French fans or stayed at home and watched it on the telly. Back to the pub after the game for a bit, and then back to the hotel for a chill. Feeling completely wrecked we got back out again in Covent Garden all happy and hot and enjoyed the rest of the night.

I'm back home now and shattered, but back down again on Friday for the game. A brilliant weekend, and by the way did I tell you I'm in the top 3 for fan of the season. Yeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
