POLICE have released CCTV images showing a man who jumped over a fish and chip takeaway counter and stole food.
The man, who was with three other people, allegedly argued with the staff and raised his fist in the air before jumping over the counter at Jumbo Fish and Chips takeaway, Concourse Way, Parr, St Helens.
It is also alleged he then pushed the shop assistant and stole a tray of food.
Police, who are treating the incident as robbery, say the offender was with another man and two women.
They entered the shop as customers and the offender started arguing with staff after one of the women refused to pay for her food.
The man who stole the food is described as white and in his early 30s. He was of large build, unshaven and wearing black clothing.
The incident happened at 11pm on Monday, August 13.
