A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with offences including stealing a knife in a burglary and criminal damage.

The teenager has been charged in connection with a burglary at a business premises in Rainford.

The youth is charged with stealing a knife and a can of lager in a burglary at the premises.

He is also charged with possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place and causing criminal damage to an articulated wagon to the cost of £1,638 and to a porta cabin window to the value of £438.

The boy is also charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards two people.

Charged relate to the alleged incident on Sunday, June 17.

The teenager is due before Merseyside Youth Court on Tuesday (August 14).
