A DELIVERY service has recorded a version of Kaycee Bradshaw’s favourite song to raise funds for her treatment, writes Simon Mulligan.

Kaycee, from, Sutton, suffers from rare neurological condition Batten Disease, which typically begins in childhood.

She has lost much of her mobility due to the condition, including her ability to walk. Her speech and understanding is limited and it will lead to childhood dementia.

There is no cure for this form of the disease, and therefore specialist symptom management and therapy is essential to assist in maintaining a good quality of life for children and their families.

To help five-year-old Kaycee, Keith Grimes and colleague Ben Cunliffe, of KG Express, put together a video of the two of them singing a version of Elton John’s I’m Still Standing, which is Kaycee’s favourite tune, having amended some of the lyrics.

Keith said: “There are extremely limited funds available, denying this little girl a chance for what we all want; a chance to live a happy, pain free life.

"There’s not enough research, not enough by way of treatment, not enough by way of support.

“And she, and all the other children suffering with this, needs awareness raised to get this further down the line. No child should have to suffer this.

"Please can you all give this a Like and a share? This is her favourite tune, and the video put a smile on her face, and it does help spread the word.”

In response to the video, Kaycee's mum Claire posted: "Princess Kaycee and us are so proud to be part of St Helens .

"She's a lucky little lady to have been blessed with this amazing song about her life living with this monster.

"But it will never get all of her I promise. We will fight all the way."
