THE Tesco Metro store on Four Acre Lane is set to temporarily close after the supermarket announced plans to change their "retail format".
The Clock Face store is set to close in the coming weeks after the shock announcement from bosses, with staff already being told that there will be a consultation process.
Mark Thomas, a Tesco spokesman said: "We are constantly innovating to test different formats and with this in mind we will be closing this store with the intention to reopen it at a later date in a different retail format.
"We are hoping to support the affected staff through this process, and there is a consultation process in place."
