THREE code of conduct complaints have been made against St Helens councillors over the past six months.
Peter Hughes, head of governance and City Region liaison for St Helens Council, told the standards committee this week that he had received three code of conduct complaints since the committee’s last meeting in January.
He said all of the complaints were dealt with under his powers and none required an investigation.
“I have received, since the last committee, three code of conduct complaints from members,” Mr Hughes said.
“They’ve all been dealt with under my powers and they were not things that required investigation.
“A couple of those, in my view did not constitute breaches of the code of conduct.”
Mr Hughes said one of the complaints was “relatively minor”.
He said both parties came to an understanding and “appropriate remedial action” was put in place.
He added: “There was nothing of any significance at all in those.”
