Police at M&S this afternoon
A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft from Marks & Spencer in the town centre.
Officers were called to Church Street at around 1.40pm today, Wednesday, July 4, to an allegation of theft.
It is believed a woman in her 50s had attempted to take a number of items from Marks & Spencer before being detained by security staff.
A woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has been taken to custody for questioning.
