POLICE have shared footage of a high-speed pursuit of a moped rider through parts of St Helens.
Greater Manchester Police released dashcam video of the chase in Haydock last September.
The pursuit on roads such as Church Road and Penny Lane reached speeds of nearly 60mph in 30mph zones - before the rider tumbles to the ground.
The rider was convicted of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop and having no licence or insurance.
He was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and 200 hours unpaid work.
He was also disqualified from driving for two years.
