TWO people were cut out of a car and taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after a crash in Crank.
Emergency services were called to the traffic collision at Gores Lane yesterday afternoon at around 4.30pm.
Two fire engines and the search and rescue team attended the incident. On arrival they discovered a vehicle in a "precarious position" on a bridge.
Fire crews secured the vehicle using a winch and a general purpose line. They then extracted two people and administered first aid and oxytherapy while waiting for ambulance crews.
Two people were taken to Aintree Hospital with serious injuries.
Crews were on scene for nearly three hours.
