A FLAGSHIP store has pledged its commitment to remain in St Helens.
Boots has confirmed today that the pharmacy chain has renewed the lease on its store in Church Square Shopping Centre.
A company spokesman said plans to start refurbishment work will be announced shortly.
The store, which includes an opticians and hearing care centre, opens seven days a week.
Church Square Shopping Centre was bought by St Helens Council last year and an asset manager has been appointed to attarct new retailers.
However, retaining national chains, as the council works to implement a long-term town centre vision, is also seen as a priority.
