Bonjour les Saints fans out there, and what an oh la la weekend that was. As in the Words of Allo Allo "Leesten very carefully I shall say zees unly wanes", WIGAN WARRIORS 24 CATALAN DRAGONS 37.. oui, oui oui. I don't know how to laugh in French on an email.

So its Saints v Catalans at Wembley in 4 weeks time then. Strange that cos i'm sure all Wigan fans and chairmen were saying it was written in the stars that Wigan would be there Non non non . Le Saints are playing Les Cats, and Le Wigan will be watching it at home on Le Telly.

The perfect weekend started on Saturday with a quick bomb down the motorway to Huddersfield to watch us v the Bulls. Good atmosphere amongst the Saints fans who completely outsung the poor Bulls turnout. Some brilliant tries by us made the game as comfortable as you can get.

The good bit of the day was the really canny bloke and his lass who sat next to me, who bought me a pint and was full of good banter and seemed to really rate James Roby. When he disappeared to the bar, I said to his missus: "Your fella really likes Roby doesn't he?" "He should do she replied, its his son !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Thank god it wasn't Gardner's mum or dad, as I probably would have had a punch in the face after about 15 minutes ( kidding of course ).

Even better was at the end of the game I was given an invite into the players bar and standing awestruck amongst the heroes in the redvee.

Though it was funny to see Terry Newton looking as if he was going to cry, standing about 5 yards away from me. I didn't want to stand too close to him as I don't fancy a swinging arm across the neck. I even managed to get myself in the match programme too. So lets get ready for another trip to London, and this time back to Wembley..

I cant finish this weeks piece without a mention about the week before and Saints v Wigan the challenge cup final dress rehersal.. hahaha. Again we owned them. That's three out of three so far this season. Still waiting for Trent to tear us apart ( again ??? ).

Dave Whelan, Brian Noble, Trent Barrett, Uncle Maurice, Sean O,Loughlan and all you Wigan fans out there..over the last two weeks YOUR BOYS HAVE TOOK ONE HELL OF A BEATING..TWICE !

Au Revoir
