WEST Park picked up a 19-15 victory at Leigh.
In conditions hardly conducive to flowing rugby, West Park proved to be more adaptable, in particular their forward pack who operated throughout as a powerful and spirited unit.
The visitor’s captain and flanker Matt Cozens helped himself to two well worked tries.
Their third try was awarded to Martin Kimberley after a ruck and maul close to the Leigh line.
The ever-reliable Josh Ainsworth converted two of the tries and stout defence and resilience thereafter saw West Park pick up the points for a most creditable win.
On Saturday Park entertain Manchester Medics, who are having a difficult season.
But there will
nonetheless be no room for complacency by the home side.
Saturday’s kick off is 2.15 pm.
