THE sister of Adam Ellison has made an emotional appeal for three girls who police believe had contact with her brother’s killer to come forward.

Nicola Moore was reinforcing the latest message from police who are hunting the thug who stabbed 29-year-old Adam to death.

Last week it emerged a youth and man in his 20s had been arrested on suspicion of murder by detectives. The youth has been bailed and the 29-year-old has been released under investigation.

She said: “Me and my family and Rebecca, Adam’s partner, are heartbroken. We miss his smile and can’t believe we will never see it again. Please help us.”

“Police would like to speak to three girls who are believed to have been approached by the scrambler bike.

“This would have been on Friday, November 3. Did you see anything that could help us. Please even if you think it might not be significant.

Adam, a former Tesco worker, was killed on Saturday, November 4 in Prescot after he was stabbed in the neck after an argument with a group on a scrambler bike.

The Tesco worker was walking along a pedestrianised area in Market Place, Prescot, at around 12.40am with friends when he became involved in the argument.

He was stabbed in the neck with an unknown weapon and passed away that morning.

Detectives are still looking to trace the scrambler bike – believed to be a green Kawasaki KX85 Big Wheel – or anyone who may have seen it being ridden around the Prescot area either before or after Adam was attacked.

Detective Chief Inspector John Middleton said: “We are currently examining a number of lines of enquiry but would continue to appeal for people to come forward with any information they may have.

“Any bit of information may prove to be vital to helping us get those answers.

“The bike was very distinctive and I am sure that somebody would recognise it or has seen it been ridden around the Prescot area in the past few weeks and months.

“We also know that the Old Mill public house would have been really busy on that Friday night. People who were in the pub may have information which could assist us and I would ask them to get in touch.”
