A HELICOPTER that was circling the borough this afternoon was searching for offenders spotted breaking into a car in Parr, police have confirmed.
The suspects were apparently spotted breaking into a VW Touran on Higher Parr Street near the swimming baths and play park around two hours ago.
The search is still underway.
Elsewhere another search is underway for motorcyclists who attempted to steal another bike.
Officers have confirmed that the attempted theft took place St Michaels Road, in Sutton Manor, where the individuals were disturbed by the vehicle’s owner.
The two suspects then left the scene on another motorbike.
