A GRANDMOTHER has been left ‘devastated’ after thieves broke into her new home and stole all of her jewellery, including her wedding ring and a watch she received from her parents on her 16th birthday.

Jacky White, 53, and her partner Steve had only lived in their new home in Garswood for 10 days when it was broken into on Monday, August 14 and all of her sentimental jewellery was taken.

Her daughter Danielle White, 30, put out an appeal on Facebook to find the items, with an approximate value of £20,000, which were taken from the Billinge Road address between 11am and 4.50pm.

The mum-of-two said: “My mum is just devastated; the items they have taken are completely irreplaceable, like a watch her parents gave her on her 16th birthday. It’s sentimental.

“The engraved wedding ring, engagement and three infinity rings my dad gave her for each child they had were taken, even our umbilical cords with the clips on that she kept were stolen.

“When she called me and my sisters we jumped in our cars to see her and she’s just heartbroken because they made her not feel safe in her new home.

“She just wants the items back; it’s not going to be easy to sell such unique pieces with engraved names but anyone who sees them, please get in touch with police.”

The items stolen include a gold nugget necklace, a gold charm bracelet with more than 20 charms, an engraved gold wedding ring with the writing 'Jacky and Derek 15/09/89' on the inside, a gold cross and chain, a gold chain with the letter 'J', three diamond rings: a solitaire, a two-diamond ring and a three-diamond one; a dolphin ring, a gold watch, a curb gold bracelet, two gold bangles, a Guess silver watch and a Pandora chain and charms.

Six men's watches and GHD straighteners were also taken.

CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are ongoing and detectives are keen to speak to anyone with information.

Detective Inspector Jason Pye said: “I would ask the offenders to do the right thing and return the stolen items to us so we can reunite them with their rightful owner.

“The jewellery taken is of significant sentimental value and cannot be replaced, so this has been a particularly distressing incident for the victims.

“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Monday afternoon, please contact us.

“These items will be distinctive to anyone who may have been offered them in recent days, so I would urge anyone with information on either the jewellery or those involved in this offence to do the right thing.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Merseyside Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
