IT'S Fry-day so what better time to vote on your favourite chippy.
Hundreds of readers responded to our appeal as we called for your help finding the the Codfather of all chip shops.
Based on the volume of suggestions we had at the start of this week, we have narrowed the shortlist down to 9 chippys.

Throughout this month we will be revealing a different category every Monday evening in the St Helens Star Food and Drink Awards and calling on readers for their suggestions.
Then on Fridays, it will be time for foodie fans to get voting for their favourite with the overall winners revealed in a special feature in the paper this autumn.
