A MAN has been charged after police found a knife during a stop and search in Haydock on Tuesday (August 8).

At around 12.50pm, officers found a lock knife after a stop and search on Windermere Road and an arrest was made.

Jamie Russell, 34, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place and has been kept in custody to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Adult Remand Court this afternoon (Wednesday, August 9).
