POLICE officers were called after receiving reports of a vandal denting a car and ripping off its wing mirror in the town centre this morning.
Officers attended the incident which happened on Lowe Street, close to the Gymbug and Lidl superstore.
Lidl staff were reportedly not allowed into the store while officers were in the area shortly after 10.30am this morning.
A police spokesman said: "There were reports of a car's wing mirror being stolen and the car was dented. We had reports of a man being seen doing it.
"The car was a red Vauxhall and was on Lowe Street close to the Gymbug."
