A TOWN centre shopping centre became a catwalk as a roaming fashion show took place.

Church Square Shopping Centre hosted the fashion event last weekend.

The two-day fashion frenzy saw numerous models make their way around the centre, parading the latest trends in both clothes and accessories from some of Church Square’s fashion retailers.

Teaming up with experienced former international model Sally Mansell – who staged the impromptu fashion performances – the event proved a huge success, generating huge crowds across the centre.

After the event Sally said: “Our models executed a fantastic display of catwalk style, with a variety of high energy routines. They all worked really hard to deliver an upbeat and energetic show which captivated the audience. They really succeeded in wowing the audience wherever they went.”

The models strutted their stuff throughout the two days, with a compere on-hand to provide a full rundown of the collections being worn, as well as adding their own dash of entertainment.

Steve Brogan, Church Square Centre manager, added: “The show was a great success and the unique concept of an on-the-move fashion show proved, once again, a huge hit with our shoppers.

"It offered people an opportunity to enjoy a more personal performance, as well as engage with the models.

"It was also an excellent advert for our retailers as it was a chance for them to showcase their current fashion lines.”
