HERE is a list of planning applications determined under delegated powers in St Helens in recent weeks:

ON February 7, 2017, the application to convert Church of the Nazarene in Helena Road, Bold, into a funeral directors was granted.

A PROPERTY in Stanley Street, Newton-le-Willows will be changed into a first floor flat with retail space on the ground floor, it was decided on March 8, 2017.

VISTA Value Cars in Vista Road, Newton-le-Willows, will be changed temporarily into a hand car wash with resurfaced hardstanding, it was decided on February 6, 2017.

ON February 15, 2017, it was agreed that seven industrial units would be erected on land to the north of Junction Lane, Sankey Street in Newton. There will also be a security gate house and bin store.

TWO properties on Bridge Street, Newton-le-Willows, were permitted to have new shop fronts fitted by planning officers on February 22, 2017.

PLANNING officers accepted an application to demolish Haydock Health and Medical Centre, Station Road, on February 9, 2017. In its place will be two apartment blocks providing 16 apartments, with car parking and landscaping.

ON February 27, it was agreed the opening hours of Haydock Medical Centre, Woodside Road, would be extended.

A BID for 134 dwellings in Vulcan Village, Wargrave Road, Newton, was granted on March 7, 2017. This is subject to conditions around appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.

A NEW agricultural building can be built at Promised Land Farm, Robins Lane, Kings Moss, planning officers agreed on March 7, 2017.

EIGHT homes with landscaping will be built on the land at New Street, in Sutton, it was decided on February 15, 2017.

PLANS for 10 two- and three-storey two-bedroom apartments in the Waterside Village development site, Lowfield Road, were amended to five two-storey two- and three-bedroom mews properties. This was granted on February 8, 2017.

PLANNING officers agreed on February 10, 2017, that the Currys unit in Ravenhead Retail Park can be divided into four retail units with separate frontages and mezzanine floors.

A BID to reconfigure floorspace to create eight new retail units, amend current retail use, and make alterations to internal roads and car parking were granted on February 20, 2017.

A GLASS company in College Street will be changed to a hand car wash, it was decided on February 8, 2017.

A RETAIL outlet on Ormskirk Street will be converted to two units - a restaurant and takeaway - with the first and second floors made into seven one-bedroomed apartments. Planning officers accepted the proposal on February 28, 2017.

AN APPLICATION to change offices in Duke Street to a children's day nursery with play areas was granted on February 23, 2017.
