A 1920S-THEMED charity ball got celebration of a major anniversary of Willowbrook Hospice into full swing – and has raised more than £5,500.
Guests in dapper tuxedos and flapper frocks arrived to the reception at The Venue in Huyton to raise money for the hospice – now in its 20th year – which cares for people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
More than 100 guests came to the three-course meal and live entertainment event that aimed to raise as much funds as possible towards the £4 million amount that is needed each year for the hospice to provide services to residents.
Diane Humphreys, Willowbrook’s senior fundraiser, said: “Guests on the evening dressed to impress with some amazing dresses and suits.
“Everyone really got into the spirit of the event, but most importantly helped to raise an incredible amount of money which will go towards caring for our patients and their families.”
