A PLAQUE in memory of Danny Fox is set to be put up outside the Westfield Street bar where he had worked.

Danny, who died of a stab wound to the chest in September, had been a doorman at Dreem Bar and had more recently been working as a carer for an autistic child.

Danny, who was 29 and from Thatto Heath, was nicknamed 'blue eyes' and 'Foxy' by friends and had appeared on the e4 television programme Tattoo Fixers.

Danny's family had the plaque made using money donated in his memory. It reads: 'In loving memory of Danny Fox. Sadly missed, never forgotten. Enjoy your big adventure.'

A family spokeswoman told the Star: "This plaque is to be put up outside the Dreem Bar where Danny worked as door security.

"Through the donations received, it was given by the wonderful people of St Helens and beyond."

She added the family have so far given £3,000 from the funds to charity.

She said Natalie Yearsley and Athir Ali, who run Dreem Bar, have agreed to put the plaque up outside the bar.

Natalie and Athir co-ordinated much of the fundraising which resulted in more than £20,000 being collected following Danny's death.

Danny died in the early hours of Friday, September 2, after suffering a single stab wound to the upper body in North John Street.

Leighton William Holt, 20, from Stockbridge Village, Liverpool, has pleaded not guilty to murder.
