North West Motorway Police tweeted the image of the overturned mixer
THIS was the scene when a cement mixer overturned on the Knowsley Expressway this afternoon.
The incident happened while the vehicle was negotiating the entry slip-road on to the Expressway at Tarbock Island.
The mixer was carrying 7.5 tonnes of cement and there was closures on the roads as fire crews worked to return it to four wheels.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly escaped with only minor cuts and bruises.
