A MUM-OF-FOUR has told how she was inspired to write a song dedicated to the memory of the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

Claire Jones, from Sutton Manor, had never written a song in her life before but decided to write a touching tribute to the victims of the 1989 tragedy.

However, after seeing her Liverpool-supporting partner Shaun share a picture on social media of a family standing outside Anfield with an urn of ashes, she was inspired to create the song called 'Justice for the 96 - Fly Angels Fly'.

A video of Claire singing the song has been posted on YouTube and Claire has even now recorded it in a studio in Warrington.

"I actually support rugby more than football, I'm from a family of coal miners and my daughter plays for Clock Face," said Claire.

"But my boyfriend Shaun is absolutely mad about LFC and always going to games."

Claire explained how the diagnosis of her four-year-old daughter Taylor with epilepsy has also been a motivation.

"I was just inspired to write this song. I had these words and didn't know what to do with them and had never written a song before in my life. I wrote things when I was younger but not like this. It's been one rollercoaster after another and things have been emotional.

"People have been sharing the song and I even had someone from Tennessee ring up, I couldn't believe it."
