Ben's mum Gail shared the letter on Twitter which has since been retweeted more than 2,500 times.
The letter, penned by assistant head teacher Ruth Clarkson, congratulates Ben for completing his SATS.
It then goes on to list 10 of his personal qualities which are not measured by school tests.
The letter goes on to list Ben’s capabiltiies, including working in a team, his kindness, ability in sport, artistic ability to make and keep friends.

It adds: “We are so pleased that all of these different talents and abilities make you the special person you are and and these are all of the things we measure to reassure us that you are always making progress and and continuing to develop as a lovely bright young man. Well done Ben. We are very proud of you."
