A TAKEAWAY which was crowned best in the North West at a glitzy award ceremony is delighted to have enjoyed more success.

BRUNCH, based on Greenes Road, Prescot, had already beaten off stiff competition last November to be named the region's best in the first ever British Takeaway Awards, presented by TV couple Vernon Kay and Tess Daly in front of guests including Ainsley Harriott and Donna Air.

And now the premises, which was opened three years ago by Sharon Carline, who lives in Nutgrove, has been listed as a 'Hungry Horse top takeaway'.

The takeaway aims to offer a “favourite breakfast and brunch specials” and prides itself on being customer-focused.

A delighted Sharon, 42, said: “It's nice to be recognised and it shows we are doing something right, people enjoy our food.

She added: "Our menu is created using the best quality, locally sourced ingredients available. We have a simple but mindful approach to our cooking that allows the ingredients to dictate the menu but are prepared in such a way as to show them at their absolute best.

"I am absolutely thrilled, it has been hard work and has taken a lot of determination and not to stop believing in what we do.

"We need to fill our wall with awards now!"
