A MAN who taunted police on Facebook while he was wanted on recall to prison is back behind bars after being arrested by officers in Whiston this morning.
Steven Johnson, 40 years, of Prescot had been wanted since January 2014, after breaching his licence conditions, and during this time he has challenged the police to "catch me if you can" under various aliases on Facebook, and today he got his wish.
It is believed that whilst wanted Johnson, who had been sentenced to six years 11 months for the original offence of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, was in Spain and during his time there he posted various photos of himself in front of high powered luxury cars.
Sgt Mark Worrall, said: "The arrest of Johnson today shows that we never give up. Johnson has been wanted on recall to prison for two years and he has obviously been living the high life abroad, but that has been cut short and he's now back behind bars."
