A VIDEO of an amateur rugby league player who slipped on the ice after going to help his son has gone viral.
The video of Craig Lyon, who plays for Blackbrook and is also a member of Martin Murray's 'Barmy Army', was posted on Facebook by the boxer last week.
The amusing footage features Craig and his five-year-old son Alfie outside their home.
"It's on a CCTV camera, I had forgotten we had them until Martin said it would be funny if you had CCTV," said Craig, 33.
"He asked me if he could post and it's had more than a million views on his page. It's also been on another group called Northern Lad and some others and in total has had more than two million now," added Craig, who also coaches the under 7s Blackbrook team.
"Nobody was hurt, that's the main thing. We're both alright about it, it's good to put a smile on people's faces!"
Former RAF man Craig appeared in the Star previously in February 2014 after he scooped the £300,000 jackpot prize on a National Lottery scratch card.
