THESE schoolchildren let themselves 'go crazy' for a fundraising day by wearing wild and wacky wigs and hats for charity.
Pupils and teachers at Sherdley Primary raised £1,000 towards the Walton Centre Hospital through their 'Crazy Head Day'. They came in their own clothes but had to bring in £2. There was also a hair product raffle with hampers donated by staff.
The school said they chose the Walton Centre because it was local and it is a place anyone may have to use in their lifetime.
The hospital was so impressed that leading surgeon Andrew Brodbelt went along to the school to pick up the cheque and give a presentation to the children.
