EXACTLY one year since the funeral of youngster Thomas Cowley a special concert will be held in his memory to raise money for charity.
Thomas was just 15 when he died from suspected sudden death syndrome at his home.
His funeral was packed with fellow pupils from Rainford Technology College who spoke fondly of their “best mate”.
Family friend, Nathan Blackburn, who is also from Rainford will be staging a concert on Saturday, December 20 to raise money for the Thomas Cowley Cancer Research Fund.
Nathan, who is a baritone tenor and performed at Thomas’s funeral, will also be singing on the night of the concert.
Thomas had been passionate about raising awareness into the disease following the death of his aunt.
There will be performances from several singers and dancers throughout the evening. There will be a bar and hot pot ,and a raffle will also be held on the evening.
All proceeds will go towards Thomas Cowley’s Just Giving page.
It will take place at Birchley St Mary’s in Billinge at 7pm.
