FOR the Jeanette McCulloch School of Dance the awards just keep coming as they enjoyed another hugely successful competition.

The Rainhill school recently enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland, Paris where they picked up a record 19 awards at the International Festival of Dance and Performing Arts.

And on Monday, October 27, the school competed in the City of Liverpool Challenges at St George’s Hall.

“This was a very big competition," said Suzanne Jones, daughter of school founder Jeanette. “The school actually won in seven out of nine challenge sections beating top schools from all over the North West."

Awards won included junior ballet winner, Elise Mitton, and inter-ballet winner Ellie Burke who also took the inter-modern winner prize.

Erin Taylor was named inter-tap winner, while Jessica Charnock picked up the senior ballet winner gong.

Lucy Smith was named senior tap winner and Abigail Fantin senior modern winner. Including second and third place finishes, the school took home with them 18 awards.
