A TEENAGER who lost her hair as she battled cancer has been given the superstar treatment with a special makeover in the centre of London.

Claudia Wilson, 15, from Rainford was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2012 and underwent six months of intensive chemotherapy.

She was the 9,000th person to be granted her dream thanks to the charity Make-A-Wish UK.

Claudia was taken to the MAC cosmetics store in Covent Garden where she was taught make up techniques and spent some of the money given to her by the charity.

After lunch a stretched pink limousine took her and her family to Topshop in Oxford Circus where a personal shopper helped her try on and but a range of outfits.”

Her mum Nicola said: “The wish has made Claudia more confident after everything she has been through. It was such a positive experience.

“She started treatment as a girl and the wish has shown how she has come out the other side a woman. It was amazing and I am sure the day will help her move on from the last two years.”

Claudia finished a course of maintenance chemotherapy in August and is now in remission. She will be monitored for the next two years to ensure that the cancer doesn’t return.
