AN ARMED robber threatened staff at a McDonalds restaurant with a knife before escaping with a quantity of cash.
Police are appealing for information in tracing the crook who was wearing a balaclava and struck at the takeaway on St Helens Linkway at around 11.15pm on Sunday (August 17).
None of the staff were hurt but they were left shaken by the incident.
Detective Constable Steven O’Neill said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the members of staff and customers in the restaurant at the time and appeal to anyone who may know his identify to come forward and tell police.”
