Tom Jones concert at Haydock Park is 18,000 sell out

HAYDOCK Park Racecourse has announced that tickets for Saturday’s race day featuring Sir Tom Jones is an 18,000 sell out.

Among the highlights of the event will be The Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes and a 90 minute set from one of the best loved UK artists, Sir Tom Jones.

Sir Tom returns to the racecourse were he performed in 2011 and once again tickets have been on huge demand.

He will be playing many of his hits, such as ‘She’s a Lady’, It’s Not Unusual’ and ‘What’s New Pussycat’.

Gates will open at 10.50am with the first race at 1.50pm and the performance starting approximately 20 minutes after the last race has finished.

Garry Fortune, Haydock Park Racecourse General Manager, said: “We are delighted Sir Tom Jones has sold out this weekend - music nights at Haydock Park are renowned for being a fantastic day out with quality racing followed by world renowned artists.

“We are looking forward to another superb event and we hope all racegoers have a cracking day out at Haydock Park.”

i was there in 2011 and like me lots of people walked out half way through his show because he refused to sing his old songs because he had an album of gospel songs out and sang every one of them,i think he did delihla to finish,who goes to see TOM JONES to listen to his new stuff.

same as the comments above , I spoke to people who went in 2011 and they said he was poor !!! and tomorrows racing is 1st class , but you have got to pay more because of tom stopped me from going !!!, I bet once the racings over most will leave and head to the pubs .
