A MAN will be sentenced on Friday for killing his former stepfather in a hit and run – after admitting an alternative charge of manslaughter.

Mr Fennah died at the scene when he was mown down by a silver Renault Megane on Scott Avenue, Whiston, just yards from his home on the morning of December 17 last year.
A post mortem examination found that he died from head injuries.
Kenny, 33, was arrested shortly after the hit and run and was later charged with murder.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charge in March but ahead of this week’s trial being due to start the prosecution accepted a guilty plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
