The curtain might have come down on a scintillating jump racing season at Haydock Park , but the flat season is just around the corner, featuring not only exciting horse racing but also music nights and ladies’ evenings... and we have tickets to be won to enjoy the first of the racing action at the popular course.

The starting stalls will fly open for the first evening fixture of 2013 at the track on Saturday, April 27.

And we have three pairs of Tattersalls tickets for three lucky readers to win for the event, sponsored by GPW Recruitment.

Some of the best horse races in Britain are run at Haydock Park over spring and summer.

There’s the Betfred Temple Stakes on Saturday, May 25; Timeform Jury and Sandy Lane Stakes on Saturday, June 8; the bet365 Old Newton Cup and Lancashire Oaks on Saturday, July 6; the Rose of Lancaster Stakes on Saturday, August 10; and the Betfred Sprint Cup Festival, including the Group 1 Betfred Sprint Cup, between Thursday and Saturday, September 5 and 7.

But coming to the racecourse isn’t just about the racing. There’s glamour, fun and fashion too, especially during ladies’ evenings on the Fridays of June 7 and July 5.

The racecourse’s music nights are hugely popular – and this year there are three performances to look forward to.

First up is the ‘Legends of the 80s’ night with Rick Astley, Marc Almond, Paul Young and ABC at Haydock Park Racecourse on Saturday, June 22, followed by Madness on Saturday, July 20, and finally Rita Ora on Friday, August 9.

It will be a return to the racecourse in June for local boy Astley, who wowed the crowds two years ago. But this year’s show will see no fewer than four artists from an iconic period in music performing.

The racecourse is set to be a sellout for Madness as part of the band’s ‘Oui Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da’ UK tour.

Singing sensation Ora, who had three number one singles last year as well as a chart-topping album, brings down the curtain on the race-course’s music nights in August.

Tickets can be purchased for all of Haydock Park’s fixtures now.

More information is available at www.haydock-park.co.uk, where tickets can be bought online. Telephone bookings can be made on 0844 579 3006.
