THE swift thaw that followed Friday night's snow storm has led to flooding in parts of St Helens, according to Star readers.
Motorists reported flooding affecting black spots at Islands Brow and College Street on Sunday morning after a sharp rise in temperature caused snow to melt quickly.
Brooks at Sankey Valley, Blackbrook have overflowed, while there is also standing water on many fields across the borough, where deep snow had fallen on Friday.
