STAR readers can now have their say on proposals to restore Ex Terra Lucem as St Helens’ motto.

This newspaper has previously reported how councillors want to hear views on re-introducing the Latin phrase, which translates to Out of the earth – light.

Author Frank Cottrell Boyce, who went to school in St Helens, says the motto was influential in the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, which he wrote.
