St Helens is still under a yellow weather alert for ice this morning (Tuesday).

The Met Office has warned that with temperatures dipping below freezing over Monday night into Tuesday morning, icy stretches are likely on untreated surfaces where the snow fell on Monday.

The remainder of the week is predicted to stay cold with a moderate rise in temperatures by Saturday.
