A KINDHEART crew of veterinary nurses is helping bring festive cheer to animals without a home this Christmas, by launching a shoebox appeal.
The nurses at Johnson and Wood in Newton-le-Willows are collecting toys, food, treats and bedding for dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, which will be packaged up and sent to the Dogs Trust and Freshfield Animal Centres.
Nurse Louise Brown said they have been delighted by the generosity of people visiting the practice, but they are still eager for more donations.
