Hugh Jackman will return to play Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse, it has been revealed.
A custom leather goods company Instagrammed a sketch of the “special duffle backpack” they were making for the superhero – and let the cat out of the bag about Hugh’s return.
The Instagram post, now deleted, showed a rough design along with the caption: “We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching – The bag will be ready next week- we will keep you posted!”
We last saw Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past, when he time-travelled to 1973 in an attempt to save the future of mankind.
Hugh first starred as the mutant, clawed-hand character in 2000′s X-Men. He will join James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence in the latest instalment.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release in May 2016.
