IT’S time to get your three wishes ready, dig out your magic carpet and prepare for some festive fun at the Theatre Royal this Christmas – Aladdin is coming to town!
The glittering family pantomime stars Master of Illusions Richard De Vere as the evil Abanazer, with Coronation Street’s Andy McDonald, Nick Cochrane, as Aladdin.
Aladdin promises surprises a-plenty, and while the cast don’t want to give away too much, Richard promises Aladdin will offer a truly unique experience.
“Look out for Drago, who is a Peking Jungle King Parrot,” said Richard.
“No production of Aladdin would be complete without a magic carpet, and it will be something really spectacular – it’s Aladdin’s Jewel!”
There will also be an appearance from Schnorbitz the dog and his little friend Schnookie.
Producer Jane Joseph is eagerly anticipating the launch.
She said: “I’m thrilled to bring another spectacular family pantomime to St Helens this Christmas. As in past productions this cast will bring hilarious comedy that will make wishes come true this Christmas.
“Aladdin is one of my favourite stories; it’s a joy to see it back at the Theatre Royal.”
With genie-us casting, striking sets, sparkling costumes and a laugh-a-minute script, Aladdin is a pantomime guaranteed to rub you up the right way!
Aladdin runs at the Theatre Royal from December 2 until January 8. Tickets can be booked in person, by calling 01744 756000 or visiting sthelenstheatreroyal.com.
