A FRIGHTFULLY good night is in store as The Circus of Horrors bring their new show, The Ventriloquist, to St Helens Theatre Royal for one night only on Monday, November 9.

The act was catapulted into the limelight when they appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

Judge David Hasslehoff was a fan, and following one of their performances said: “Fantastic. That’s what I call entertainment – I want to party with you guys!”

The new show will take the audience on a whirlwind journey through Berlin in 1921, three years after the end of the First World War.

This was the start of the Roaring Twenties, a decadent decade of fun and frolics that saw the birth of cabaret.

Expect to encounter a Vampire vaudeville show featuring hair-hanging beauties, twisted contortionists, flying aerialists, demon dwarfs, gyrating jugglers, voodoo warriors, pickled people, sword swallowers and its new latest star – The Ventriloquist!

The Circus of Horrors performs to the pulsating, devil-driven rock music of Dr Haze and The Inceptors from Hell.

The show has seen success around the world, visiting major venues and festivals in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Germany and Japan, achieving cult status and dragging the age old art of circus kicking and screaming into the 21st century along the way.

Described as Radio 1’s Scott Mills as ‘Unbelievable!”, the Circus of Horrors show promises to provide frights, gasps and laughter in a show of epic proportions.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 to £22, available from the Theatre Royal box office on 01744 756 000 or through the website sthelenstheatreroyal.com.
