ROCK band Silver Story are set to release a new EP to serve as a follow-up to their 2009 debut, Soulmate:Eliminate.

Titled Wake Up, the collection of tracks will include three brand new songs recorded with producer Matt O’Grady, and showcase the band’s development from Pop-Punk to no-nonsense Rock music.

Front man Alex McCabe, 23, said of the release: ‘’It’s been a strange 18 months, we’ve been through a few experimental line-ups and we haven’t played as many gigs as we would have liked.

“But we don’t regret anything though as it’s helped us develop our sound- It’s heavier and more mature now-it’s a natural progression.’

Tom Cato completes the line up on lead guitar with Pete Murphy, 25, from Eccleston on Bass, and founding members Gaz Haigh, 25, and Alex McCabe, both from Moss Bank on drums and vocals respectively.

The band originally met when they were at university in Liverpool but two of the founding members decided to leave.

However, drummer Gaz Haigh is more determined then ever: “It was a huge blow to lose two members so soon after things were starting to look promising but we’re back now and it feels more exciting than ever.

“We’re already making plans to tour and record again next spring!"

The band will showcase their new tracks at The Citadel in on Friday, November 11.

Silver Story – Wake Up will be available on itunes, spotify, amazon and other online retailers from November 11.
