BLUES’ “national treasure” Danny Bryant is heading to St Helens’ Citadel next month as he tours his latest album, ‘Revelation’.
Riding high on the European blues scene for more than a decade, Danny is acknowledged by those in the business as one of the cream of the crop.
On Saturday, May 12, the star will be heading to town with his whole nine-piece big band for a one-night only show at 7.30pm.
Danny said: “When I began writing this album, I knew that it was going to be one of the toughest challenges of my career.
“It wasn’t lack of material or desire, but I realised from the beginning that, if this record was to achieve the things I wanted it to say, I would have to go deep inside of myself with these songs and confront memories and emotions I didn’t really want to face.”
“It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Tickets are £15, call 01744 762 300 or visit citadel.org.uk to book.
