Stars from Regal Entertainments’ production of Jack and the Beanstalk took over Liverpool’s Hilton Hotel last week as they gathered to officially launch the region’s giant panto which shows at St Helens Theatre Royal from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, January 11.

Hosted by Radio City 96.7’s Claire Simmo, guests were treated to a sneak peek of what can be expected from this year’s magical production with a mini-panto performance complete with cast, dancers, The Giant and Daisy the Cow.

A dazzling line-up will bring this much-loved story to life and this year’s star-studded cast includes "naughty" Linda Nolan as Mrs Fleshcreep, Waterloo Road regular Abby Mavers as Princess Jill, Emmerdale’s Kurtis Stacey as Jack, Coronation Street’s Nick Cochrane as King Charles, Radio City 96.7’s Claire Simmo as The Fairy, the hilarious Liam Mellor as Simple Simon and completing the line-up, St Helens’ resident Dame, Simon Foster as Dame Dotty.

Last Christmas, Peter Pan was the hottest show in town, smashing box office records, and this year’s Easter panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became yet another critically acclaimed success. But things are set to get even bigger this Christmas as Regal Entertainments LTD are delighted to bring family favourite, Jack and the Beanstalk - the biggest panto of them all – to audiences of St Helens and beyond.

Follow Jack on his gigantic journey up the beanstalk this Christmas as he discovers geese with golden eggs, a magic harp and of course has a close encounter with a very hungry giant. But Jack had better beware, as the villainous Mrs Fleshcreep is hot on his heels and looking to stop him every step of the way!
