CLASSICAL ballet will take centre stage as it makes a return to the Theatre Royal stage.

The Vienna Festival Ballet will present the classic tale of Cinderella, one of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time on Sunday, March 5 2017.

With music by G. A. Rossini and choreography by Sheila Styles, the production is based on the famous traditional story to offer a combination of pure classical dancing and a touch of pantomime.

The music contains a collection of Rossini’s most famous operatic achievements and has been especially arranged for Vienna Festival Ballet.

Notable for the continued freshness and strength of their dancing casts, Vienna Festival Ballet attracts highly talented dancers from all over the world.

The Vienna Festival Ballet is known for its beautiful and lavish hand-made costumes as well as its commitment to bringing the greatest classical ballets to audiences.

Theatre Royal manager Chantelle Nolan said: “We love having the Vienna Festival Ballet here in St Helens as their productions are absolutely mesmerising featuring the most talented of dancers.”
