AS regional heats have begun across the country to find the next Miss England, the Theatre Royal has launched its own quest to find Miss Royal Beauty.

Anyone who thinks they are beautiful, photogenic, charitable, sporty and full of personality and would like the opportunity they can now enter.

The winner of the St Helens heat will then go through to Miss England, and could even end up in Miss World.

The contest prides itself on differing from traditional modelling competitions, where contestants are just judged on looks only.

The current Miss England is Natasha Hemmings, 19-year-old opera singer and student from Cheshire who is studying English Literature at Nottingham University and will represent England at Miss World in Sanya, South China on December 19th 2015.

Natasha will have the opportunity to showcase her singing on a world stage and compete against over 125 countries in the world’s biggest competition, Miss World, which has a top prize of £100,000.

More than £700,000 has been raised by Miss England events over the last five years for disadvantaged children in the UK, with contestants and organisers encouraged to raise funds as part of the competition.

To enter, attend the application day at St Helens Theatre Royal between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, January 16 2016, where you will be photographed, asked to fill out a registration form and have a brief interview.

Along with taking part in the traditional catwalk style contest, Miss Royal Beauty contestants are invited to arrange sponsorship to support their campaign, take part in a sportswear round, an eveningwear round and a beachwear round.

Ladies will also have the opportunity to create an outfit for the eco round in partnership with Merseyside College, perform in the talent round and take part in a pre-judge interview where contestants will model swimwear.

Entry costs £10 per applicant with all applicants receiving a professional photograph via email.

Applications must live withina 50-mile radius of the Theatre Royal and be aged 17 to 25, and at the time of the Miss World final they must not be married or have children.

A panel of celebrity judges will decide which lucky ladies will go through to the regional final on Saturday, May 14 2016.

The national final of Miss England will be held in the summer of 2016 when the winner will be crowned Miss England and go through to Miss World.
