AMONG the highlights to look out for on the local music scene this week are local electronica tribute band Electro 80s who return to Windle Labour Club on Saturday.

These guys are masters of reproducing the sounds of Depeche mode, Gary Numan, The Human League et al.

Meanwhile, over at the Rendezvous on Friday local rockers Salander make their return. And for those of you who like things a bit more Blusey, The Jacky

Bond Band are at the Sefton on Saturday. Talking of blues, St Helens will be holding it's first ever Festival of Blues at Tank on

Sunday August 9. Running from 1pm onwards throughout the day and featuring some of the north west finest exponents of the blues.
